One of the hardiest ornamental hawthorns, a small vase-shaped tree, highly recommended for small home landscapes; requires a wind-sheltered site; sparse red fruit in fall; has sharp thorns. Do not plant in areas with Junipers due to Juniper-Hawthorn rust.
