The Tannenbaum Mugo Pine is a prized dwarf evergreen conifer. Selected from trial beds at South Dakota State University, it is celebrated for its perfectly uniform, pyramid-shaped Christmas tree silhouette and emerald-green needles that keep their rich colour even in freezing winter conditions.

It prefers moist, loose, well-draining soil. It is highly adaptable to both acidic and alkaline pH levels, as well as sandy or clay textures, but it will die if left in standing water.
