President Grevy Lilac features showy panicles of pleasant-smelling blue flowers rising amongst the foliage in mid-spring, which emerge from distinctive violet flower buds. The flowers are good for cutting. It has bluish-green foliage throughout the season. The heart-shaped leaves do not develop any appreciable fall colour.
