Hardy yellow ice plant is a fast-spreading, mat-forming succulent groundcover that smothers itself in small, starry yellow flowers from late spring through fall. Growing only a couple of inches tall but spreading up to three feet wide, it is an excellent choice for covering slopes, filling rock garden crevices, or softening the edges of dry beds. The fleshy foliage takes on attractive bronze tones through the colder months, adding off-season interest.
