Lilac 'Mme Lemoine' is widely considered one of the finest double white French hybrid lilacs in cultivation. Bred by Victor Lemoine in 1890 and named in honour of his wife, this award-winning, deciduous shrub is celebrated for its dense, intensely fragrant panicles of pure white flowers that open from creamy-yellow buds in late spring. It is highly reliable, exceptionally cold-hardy, and a recipient of the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
