A deciduous vine with tendrils whose branchlets end in suction cups. Virginia Creeper doesn't need any support and has a fast growth rate that can reach up to 30′ to 50′ tall; grow it on garden arbors, fences, or down a sloped hill.
The minute flowers are often a favourite or bees and the blue or black berries are very important as fall and winter food for songbirds. In fall the vines can be cut back and made into wreaths!
