This lavender is noted for its silvery-grey leaves and rich violet-blue flowers.

It is a slow growing to 12 to 18 inches tall and as wide. Flowers keep their deep color when dried. It is one of the most popular of the lavenders. It takes full sun, has low water needs, and is hardy to below - 10° F - considered to be the hardiest of the English lavender. Reportedly, the blooms are edible.
