Evergreen semi-shrubby native perennial that spreads laterally in clumps.  Blue- purple bell flowers appear in spring and are much loved by hummingbirds.  Great for borders and rock gardens or natural areas that are low to sub-alpine elevations, on dry, rocky hillsides, cliffs, and open forests.
