Also called Lakeshore Sedge, this smaller wetland perennial grass grows in dense tufts, with leaves that grow above the stems. Its leaves are very narrow, channeled below, flat on top, and wrap the stem. The inflorescence bear male spikes (top) and female spikes (below) which are tightly packed.
