Giant Wild Rye
Elymus cinereus
Giant wild rye is the largest of our native grasses. It’s blue-green leaves can reach four feet long with flower stalks towering above at 6’-8’ high. This broad grass grows scattered throughout Okanagan grasslands and open forests where sub-surface water is located.
